Trees and Plants in special places
Annie writes about her photographs
“These images are the results of many hours of experimenting with layers, blend modes, filters and multi exposures.
I have no precise workflow, I just enjoy seeing what emerges.
I wanted to produce some images which had a painterly effect, the feeling of looking at a painting rather than a photograph.
These images were taken in places very special to me and I enjoyed making something a little different and learning a lot of Photoshop skills along the way.
- The maple images were taken during a glorious week in the Lake District last October at the wonderful Brantwood House overlooking Coniston.
- The plant and terracotta pot was taken in a village in Spain which I have visited several times and has become a very special place.
- The tree against the stormy sunset sky was taken in the Cotswolds where I grew up. I have known this tree all my life and always take a photograph of it when I visit – i enjoyed doing something a little different with this one.
- The woodland walk was taken at home in wonderful North Norfolk.”
