Great Pictures – Great Exhibition
This may seem a little parochial if you don’t happen to live in Norfolk. For those of you on the other side of the Wash or beyond where the A11 emerges from the swamp at Thetford, you’ll just have to put up with me wittering about a bit of local talent.
For the rest go and see the photographic exhibition called Decent Exposure in the foyer and reception rooms at West Acre Theatre near Swaffham… What do you mean you don’t know where the theatre is? Just tie a bit of string round that big wind turbine so that you can find your way back in to town, then go and explore. For the techno minded it’s PE32 1UD.
The theatre has a very full programme of events for spring 2019 and when they are open for performances one is able to go and view the pictures created by this newly formed photography group. Members of the group met on a photography class in autumn 2017 and have continued to explore the world around them to produce a variety of images for this exhibition, including wildlife, plant life, natural landscape and the built environment.
The images are terrific and well worth a visit. A quick phone call to the box office on 01760 755 800 will tell you when he place is open and the exhibition lasts until 10th March.
My pictures here? Well there was this private view that I gate-crashed. Got myself a drink (squash of course) and a smoked salmon butty, and took a few pictures. Surely you don’t expect me to take photographs of their photographs! Go and look for yourself. Mind the slippery roads.
