Amazingly so. Last weekend the first snowdrops appeared in the garden along with a couple of iris plants which came into flower (note the clever way I avoided the plural of iris! The ssss could go on for ever).
But so far in East Anglia this year no snow. From a social point of view that is so welcome – I hate the stuff – never was into building snowmen – perhaps I should say snow people, and snowballing left me cold – get it?!
It is a great delight to see the small white flowers clearly through and waving about in the breeze. A clear sign that Spring is on the way.
On my “Places to go and things to see” page of this blog I have listed some of the open gardens in January and February which are open to the public.
Have a great weekend.
