Pictures of the week – featuring the Astro Photography of Shaun Reynolds

My name is Shaun and I have been quite obsessed with astro photography for around 7 years now. I have a home observatory and use my telescope and CCD to capture deep sky images throughout the winter months.

However, I have over the last 2 years gone out and about the country in search of the Milky Way in some great landscapes and have learnt so much.

My images here are examples of my work with the iconic Happisburgh Lighthouse from two years ago to the Amazing landscape and dark skies of the Dorset coast and ‘ Durdel Door’

I have travelled hundreds of miles in one go to get the locations and skies mainly towards the late summer months as its best for this type of photography.

My website has many images of not only my Milky Way pictures but also my many years of deep sky images built up over seven years.

Shaun’s work may be found at

I could get quite hooked on this sort of thing. The pathetic star trail header this week is my test shot.
Many thanks Shaun.
