Pictures of the Week by Linda Gower

Continuing the idea of special features – this week – my thanks to Linda Gower who has agreed to share two of her favourite images from her portfolio.

Linda says

“I enjoy all sorts of photography but time and time again find myself drawn to images where there is strong pattern and line.  I love architecture but prefer to capture a tiny, perhaps unusual detail rather than the whole,

Willis building

and this shot of the Willis building in the City presented all sorts of exciting possibilities because of its curves and reflections.  Many of my shots tend towards the abstract, either from the outset, or in the way that I manipulate them afterwards.

The second image started off as a close-up picture of the marsh at low tide in Wells, but I hope that I have transformed into something rather more interesting.”

Great pictures

Many thanks Linda
